Visitors to ecommerce sites convert equally well on tablets as on PCs, according to a study by Monetate. link

IBM said that 77 percent of mobile traffic on Black Friday came from iOS devices. This despite the fact that Comscore said that Android has 52.5 percent of smartphone subscribers while iOS has 34.3 percent. link

While the iOS app store revenues grew 12.9 percent in 2012, Google Play grew 313 percent. The same trend was visible in free downloads, where even though iOS users download 10 apps for every 9 apps Android users download, Google Play grew 47 percent to iOS’s 4.5 percent. link

For the first time in the history of comScore’s MobiLens U.S. mobile market share report, Apple has come in second overall among handset OEMs. Apple grew its U.S. market share by 1.5 percentage points from 16.3 to 17.8 percent in the three-month period ending October 2012, according to the report. link
