The BBC generates 13% of revenues from digital sources including TV content sales and gaming sales. Total app downloads exceed 25M. link

Several ecommerce companies profiled in the WSJ revealed revenue plans. Gilt will generate $600M in 2012 sales up from $370M last year. One Kings Lane announced $100M in 2011 revenue. Fab expects to generate $140M in 2012 revenue. link

Skype registered 115B minutes of calls during Q2, up 50% y/y according to owner Microsoft. Skype will be incorporated into the new version of Outlook. link

MovieClips, an aggregator of clips from movies, drives 600M monthly YouTube views. link

P2P car sharing network RelayRides has forged a partnership with GM enabling the 6M cars with OnStar to be rented via RelayRides. link

Facing reports of a security breach of European user account data, Dropbox has hired external experts to evaluate the breach. link

Prezi, the innovative presentation platform, has reached 12M users, up 2M in the last 2 months. link

Kayak and Palo Alto Networks recorded two very successful IPOs trading up 26 and 28% respectively at the end of last week. link

Cisco is buying Virtuata, a specialist in virtual machine security, and will meld that company into its data center security group. link

Autodesk acquired SocialCam for $60M  link

Tivo has acquired TRA Systems, makers of set-top box data analysis software, for $20M. link

GoDaddy has acquired Outright, provider of bookkeeping services for SMBs.  link

Beats is purchasing $150M worth of shares from investor HTC just a few months after HTC invested $300M. link

Google has acquired email client maker Sparrow for an undisclosed amount. The team will focus on GMail and development on Sparrow will cease.  link
